How it all began...
Hi! My name is Stephanie. I have been crocheting since I was 9 years old. I used to spend summers with my grandma and this is when she taught me to crochet. I have to be honest, I didn't immediately take to it. I always liked the idea of it, but I did not, how shall I say it, have the patience it takes to really get into it. While I absolutely love crocheting now, that impatience I had as a child is still there, it just manifests itself a little differently these days.😁 Let's just say I have a lot of WIPs (works in progress)!
Crochet is more that a hobby for me. It's how I relax, it's one of the ways I enjoy myself and it's also a way of grieving for me. That may sound a little weird so let me explain. My grandma passed away a few years back and crochet is my ongoing connection to her. She may be gone, but I have this legacy that continues through me and my crochet. I grieve her loss and celebrate her life with each stitch I make. She will always be a part of me and I will always hear her voice as I create the art she taught me to love.
Hello I am Nubia and I loved your beanie you made for me.
